Welcome to My Dark Retreat, a mobile application developed and operated under the Darkness Discipline brand.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the My Dark Retreat app.
Data stored on your device
My Dark Retreat stores your retreat sessions, planned retreat dates, intentions, insights, active session state, and checklist progress locally on your device using on-device storage.
Data sent by the app
The app does not require an account and does not upload your retreat data to a developer-operated server.
Retention and deletion
Your retreat data remains on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual retreat records inside the app, replace stored records by importing a backup, or remove all local app data by deleting the app from your device.
Export, import, and sharing
If you choose Export, the app creates a JSON backup file on your device and shares it only through the destination you choose. If you choose Import, the app reads only the file you select.
Feedback email
If you tap Send Feedback, the app opens your email app with a draft that includes app version, platform, OS version, device model, and screen size. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send that email.
Embedded video
Some Knowledge pages display YouTube videos inside the app. When you play or open those videos, YouTube and related network providers may receive standard playback and device connection information under their own terms and privacy practices. The app does not send your retreat records, intentions, insights, or checklist data to YouTube.
